2012 Meeting Schedule

Meetings are held from April through October and are usually the 3rd Sunday during these months (unless specified differently.)  Meetings are normally held at a member’s home, garden/pond and are scheduled well in advance; club members volunteer to host the meetings. Other meetings are sometimes held at Kupanda Pond in the San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido.

Meetings start at 12:30 p.m. and usually last until around 3:00 p.m.  They are a potluck affair so please bring a large side dish to share (for up to 8 or 10 people.)

We usually have a speaker or topic that is discussed/presented, followed by a question and answer period.  A nice aquatic specimen lily or plant that is profiled in the newsletter will usually be raffled off as a door prize.  Last call will be announced for the plant raffle ticket purchases and then the raffle begins.

*Every spring, the club has a volunteer work party (lasting a couple of hours) to maintain the San Diego Wild Animal Park Kupanda Falls Pond.  Dates are chosen by the Park Staff and all club members are notified for an opportunity to volunteer.
